Dancing is a powerful way to connect with your emotions, release tension, and simply be in the moment. It’s more than just moving to music—it’s a form of expression that allows you to let go of judgment, overcome shame, and embrace your true self.
My own journey with dance began in childhood with ballet, but I quickly realized that the rigid structure and pressure to perform took away the joy of movement. It felt too constrained, too focused on perfection. I craved freedom, a space where I could move without the need to “function” or fit into a mold. Later, I discovered freer dance forms that allowed me to let go and truly express myself. This is where I found my passion for movement and connection.
Eventually, I began teaching dance to children, always focusing on the idea that dance should be about joy, freedom, and self-expression, rather than just technique or routine.
At Younique Retreat, we embrace this philosophy. Our dance sessions are not about mastering steps or following strict choreography. Instead, they invite you to explore movement in a way that feels right for you, helping you to release emotions, connect with your body, and experience the pure freedom that comes from moving without expectations.
One of the most transformative forms of dance I’ve experienced is Ecstatic Dance—a practice that allows you to move freely and authentically, with no set patterns and no external influences. It’s a space where you can be completely yourself, immersed in the rhythm and energy of the music.
Alongside Ecstatic Dance, we also offer movement meditations, like shaking and walking meditations, which help you release physical and emotional tension, leaving you grounded and centered.
Join us at Younique Retreat, where dance becomes a journey to rediscover your inner self, offering a safe, supportive space to move, express, and be free.
